Hufft had their metal shop fabricate steel rolling walls so they could conduct pinups more efficiently and spaces could quickly be interchangeable.
The woodworkers' table arrangement was inspired by an old photo of carpenters using tables in close proximity to make their work more efficient. Hufft will likely require future hired carpenters to build this table for themselves as their first project on the job.
This 3D printer was built by an employee at Hufft. Here, it was used to rapidly prototype drawer pulls as they underwent changes in the early design phase.
Each project gets its own side of a rolling wall to prevent taking hours just to pin up projects. Keeping the project drawings, renderings, etc pinned up allows the project to develop smoothly and keep the process organized. The carpenters' tables in close proximity lets the workers easily pass projects from one to the next and lets them reach either forward or back to get things. The 3D printer itself actually has the majority of its parts 3D printed. If a piece needs to be replaced or if Hufft ever wants another one, they can print another printer.
