Hufft Projects is unique because it is comprised of artists, architects, designers, and craftsmen who work together to create and design.
Nearly all of their studio furniture is designed and fabricated by their teams on site.
Whether it be for projects or to simply refine their techniques, their state of the art CNC is always working hard on the task at hand. It is a critical part of their fabrication studio and they would not be able to build the things they design without it.
The custom built product library is a great example of Hufft using their in-house specialty of furniture to create interesting conversation pieces as well as functional furniture that is made exactly to fit their needs. The use of their company machines to make the furniture also saves the company money in cost of furniture. Having a mixture of people in the space greatly increases the creative boundaries that are explored. These different mindsets allow Hufft to continually evolve and create new and exciting projects.
ReplyDeleteThe CNC machine, with the vacuum table allows for boards to be held down without screws which is very useful. However to be able to make the CNC machine pay for itself it must run for at least 6 hrs out of the day.
